November 17 -- Thanks for the Prayers
John 17:1-11, 20-24
Join us at 9:00 or 10:30 on Sunday, November 24, as we prepare for Advent. This year we will celebrate the joy, excitement, and preparation for the Christmas season at both of our services.
This is a multi-generational celebration where all are invited to participate.
Two services offer almost twice as many opportunities to participate than we have had in the past. Please help by signing up at the Welcome Desk, whether it is reading, singing, or placing parts of our age old Christmas traditions in the sanctuary.
First Church continues our time of learning and sharing around the topic of grief, facilitated by our Discipleship Pastor, Jason Armold. Sessions are held every Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the South Wing. If you struggle with grief, whether recent or in times past plan on attending. For more info, contact Pastor Jason 717.838.2551, x204.
Join us on Sun., November 24 for this FREE event for our church and local community!
The sit down dinner will be served starting at 4:30 followed by the showing of "Run the Race" at 5:30. Invite your friends and neighbors and plan to join us -- hope to see you there!
Free child care will be provided.
Reeling from his mother’s death and his father’s abandonment, Zach, an All-State athlete, finds glory on the football field, working to earn a college scholarship and the brother’s ticket out of town. When a devastating injury puts Zach - and his dreams - on the sidelines, David laces up his track cleats to salvage their future and point Zach toward hope. Every one of us has a race to run…and each of us faces surprising and sometimes huge challenges.
"RUN THE RACE" is a dynamic and inspiring film that shows the way to face the unexpected in life and how to rise triumphantly above them. Whether you’re facing shattered dreams, doubts or fears this film will empower you to run hard into the steadfast love of God.
